Eden Riegel: Y&R

I recently began a brand new, super-exciting role as Genoa City Assistant District Attorney Heather Stevens on The Young and the Restless. It was very difficult to say goodbye to the role I played for so many years on All My Children, but it’s also really fun to be able to play a new character, somebody who is complex and has an agenda, and isn’t always so sweet. It’s a nice stretch for me after getting the nice girl act down pat! Heather is out for justice, and is sometimes blinded by an insatiable desire to see privileged people like the Newmans and Abotts brought down to earth. Because she grew up in an abusive household, she stays distant from people and tries at all times to remain in control. With regards to her career, she feels it defines her and thus is always out for number one. Failure is simply not an option, so if you can’t help her, or you stand in her way, watch out! I am so thrilled that Y&R has entrusted me with this fine role, and I will work my ass off to be an advocate for my new character. I’m also delighted to be getting to work again with my homefry Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe, Y&R, ex-Maggie/Frankie, AMC, Lizzie, Imaginary Bitches) and the totally rad Greg Rikaart (Kevin, Y&R, Mark, Imaginary Bitches).
